Synergy between ecology and architecture

Synergy between ecology and architecture

In the façade, the irregular checkerboard of native vegetation and wooden slats forms a synergy between ecology and architecture. The rigid strips of untreated Accoya wood are low-maintenance and provide the building with a good flow of outside air. The plants on steel mats enhance biodiversity, but will also muffle traffic noise, bind dust particles and produce oxygen. The flat ceiling and a clever positioning of the columns make the interior clean and clear. With a wear-resistant floor coating in colour and the anthracite painted steel construction, allure has been chosen.
